Lori Harrison is an emerging multi-disciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada. Her work examines our complicated relationship with the land. In an era of climate crisis and environmental degradation, she explore themes of nostalgia and cultural frameworks to create awareness of what we stand to lose.

Using historical landscape painting references, symbols and representations of the natural world she disrupts, fragments, and abstract these to call attention to what we are doing to the land. Her approach is to seduce with beauty and then subtly insert awareness in the viewer with the hope to foster a transformation in our relationship with the earth toward an eco-socialist perspective.

Lori studied at OCADU and holds a BFA from Concordia University. She has exhibited her work in numerous juried group shows and won several awards. Her work is included in the collections of Canada House London UK, Park Hyatt Toronto, JW Marriott Tokyo, La Masion Simons, and in private collections across North America.
